FOR ALL DOING

The Texas Solar for All Coalition will be delivering programs that will pay to install or use solar and battery (energy storage) systems and upgrades that may be necessary to install them, like rooftop repairs. 


Specifically, the Texas Solar for All Coalition will deliver the following programs:

To support these installations, each community will also receive:

Job training and assistance services like transportation or childcare to support community members’ participation in training and upskilling

Single-Family Rooftop Solar 

The Single-Family Rooftop Solar Programs will install solar on houses owned or rented by low-income community members. These programs can be found in El Paso, Laredo, and Waco. There will be additional areas added to the program once sites have been selected. This page will be updated once a decision has been made.

Multi Family Rooftop Solar

Community Solar

Community solar is a way for people to access solar without installing it on their own homes. Solar will be installed throughout the community and accessible through an electricity plan or benefits will be paid as a credit to participants.

 

The community solar programs will be rolled out in:

Multi-Family Rooftop Solar

The Multi-family Rooftop Programs will provide solar to multi-family housing sites, such as apartment complexes, for the benefit of the community members living in them.


These will be managed by Opportunity Home San Antonio in San Antonio. Learn more by visiting the San Antonio page. There will also be programs taking place in areas across Texas that still need to be identified. 

Hybrid Program Offering a Few Types of Solar

Some programs will provide more than one type of solar in a program, including single-family, multi-family, and community solar. Austin will be managing a hybrid program. Learn more about the Hybrid Program by
